Retiree Billing

Retiree Billing services are available to employers who provide healthcare benefits to their retirees and dependents. A company may offer retiree benefits to its employees by choice or as required by law. Regardless of the reason, the administration of retiree billing is not an easy task for employers.

When an employee retires, it often results in the need to coordinate your company-offered benefit with one or more regulatory requirements. To reduce the liability and administrative inconvenience attached to offering a retiree benefit, employers often look to a third-party administrator for assistance with their specific program.

Acclaim Benefits provides complete and accurate administration for managing retiree benefits and billings, to include:

  • Retiree notices
  • Premium reimbursement
  • Premium billing and collection
  • Pension coordination
  • COBRA notices and coordination
  • State continuation notices and coordination

Process of Notification

Employers have two options for providing notifications to retirees:

  • When an employee retires, employers may contact Acclaim Benefits, who then notifies the retiree of available retirement benefits.
  • Employers may choose to provide notification to the retiree, and then notify Acclaim Benefits once the retiree has elected retirement benefits.
