Keith A. Friede
Keith is one of the nation’s leading authorities on employee benefits and human resources regulatory requirements. He has established a strong reputation for his uncommon ability to educate business professionals, having educated tens of thousands of professionals across the country at employers, insurance companies, third-party administrators, professional groups and government agencies.
Keith brings nearly 20 years of human resource development experience to his role as an educator, trainer and compliance consultant. His focus is on practical application issues and developing the client’s ability to apply concepts.
His primary areas of compliance expertise include COBRA, Section 125 Cafeteria Plans, HIPAA, HRAs, HSAs, FMLA, and ADA. In addition, he is a master trainer in the areas of presentation skills, “train-the-trainer,” and leadership and management development.
Formerly, Keith was president of A.E. Roberts Company, then one of the nation’s premier training and consulting organizations specializing in employee benefits and human resources compliance education. His eight-year tenure with A.E. Roberts Company was preceded by experiences as an independent HRD consultant, and an internal training and organization development consultant with ITT.
Keith holds an M.A. in human resource development from the University of St. Thomas, and a BBA in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Centre for Applied Leadership, and often speaks to graduate business students on topics of leadership and organizational dynamics.
